Who is Ljósálfar?

Ljósálfar is simply my artist name, one designed to draw the right people in...

It is well known that I love nature, that I'm an avid fan of old norse folklore, the works of J.R.R Tolkien, and a person with a deep spiritual belief in nature. It stands to reason that I would have myself, and others, believe that I'm not a person but a creature beyond mortal mans comprehension. 

My inspiration is largely credited to my love for ancient norse folklore and ancient history, as well as historical reenactment. I aspire to play alongside local Isle of Wight reenactment group, Wihtwara as part of a living history setup.

I would also like to dedicate my music to the 'alterhuman' community, a worldwide collective of people who (involuntarily) identify as 'non-human' due to a variety of experiences. I found myself in this community after struggling to feel like I belonged in "normal" society; here I met many people with the same experiences as myself, with incredible hobbies, a deep love of creativity, and above all a oneness with nature. From there, I began dabbling in graphic design, expressing my complex (and often very misinterpreted) identity through art. 

My music is an ode to my identity and the people who supported me in only the way kin can.
